Introduction to natural swimming pools
The first image that comes to mind when someone mentions a swimming pool is probably a circular shaped, above ground monstrosity that is a royal blue color. Is that correct? And then there will probably be the burn in your eyes from the memories of being a child and even an adult that has spent long days in the pool and the resulting burn of chlorine. But that doesn't have to be the reality anymore. There are other options when it comes to swimming pools and they include ones that are safer and much more pleasant to swim in for adults and children.
Natural swimming pools can be made in to any size and shape you desire. The pool is usually poured from concrete and can be colored, but they are also left natural color to blend in with the surrounding nature of your backyard (or side yard or front yard). The designers of the pool like to make it blend in with the surroundings so it is truly a natural swimming pool in its content and design. The natural stone look and plant life chosen for the swimming area are meant to complement each other to beautify natural in the setting they are placed in.
The best part of the natural pool is the lack of burning eyes after a long day of swimming. Unless you like the red rimmed, itchy and dry eye feeling after a day spent in the pool with the family, then you would probably prefer the natural water conditions in the natural pool. There aren't harsh chemicals to keep the water blue looking, there isn't a load of chlorine to keep bacteria from growing and the water doesn't need to be shocked and treated if there is an excess amount of rain in a weekend.
There are lots of benefits of getting a natural pool placed in your yard. Not only will it look beautiful and refrain from being an eyesore, it will be a pleasure to swim in on a hot summer's day. The purpose of being natural is easy on your skin, your eyes and even your hair. The kids can appreciate the natural elements of the pool as they study the beauty of the plants growing in and around it. And then there is the fact there eyes don't burn when they get out and they can sleep easy at night without dry skin and irritation !
The natural swimming pools were invented and developed in Austria and Germany in the Eighties. The technology of the natural swimming pools has now so advanced that it can be employed in almost all the countries.
Why a natural swimming pool ?
The traditional swimming pools which require the chemical treatment of water are replaced more and more by the natural swimming pools. The diffusion of the allergies and intolerance to chlorine indicate the need for natural swimming pools clearly. Nature shows us how, even in the smallest swimming pool, thanks to the biological treatment of water, to obtain ideal values of water throughout the year.
When a family, or even a whole group children, tests the natural swimming pool for the first time, the reaction is always identical: "look at, it does not have the red eyes" "I can plunge without my eyes pricking!" "no chlorine odor on my bathing suit" "water is so soft". Thanks to the biological treatment of water, the installation can be established according to these principles:
- Natural design
- Architectural and geometrical design
- Combination of natural and architectural design
The type of garden, the type of construction and the wishes of the customer determine the form and the use.
